Hull City Council invites feedback on plans for a vibrant, sustainable city centre
Hull: The city council wants your thoughts on a new city centre plan.
This plan aims to make Hull more family-friendly and sustainable. It will benefit residents, businesses, and visitors. Urban design experts, Planit, are leading this vision.
Key areas of focus include identifying development plots and enhancing transport options. They also want to address flood risks and improve public spaces. The goal is to create a vibrant, safe city centre.
The vision will inform Hull’s Local Plan, which updates later this year. It aligns with long-term strategies for housing, economic growth, and health.
A six-week public engagement exercise has started. Residents and businesses can share their feedback online or in person. There will be three events at Princes Quay Shopping Centre next week.
Families are welcome, with children’s activities available. The drop-in events are on February 8, 11, and 12. More pop-up sessions will occur at Hull Truck Theatre and the University of Hull.
