A man faces jail after holding zombie knives to XL Bully dogs, Nova and Kilo, and threatening to stab them in Dundee, U.K.
Montague got angry with his sister because she told him to pick up his dogs. She explained that they chewed her furniture. He arrived with two knives at her house and called one knife “ZK,” wearing it on his chest.
Montague yelled at a dog using harsh words and pulled out the knife in front of his sister while she was talking to another sibling on the phone.
The court heard about Montague’s past crimes, revealing he had been in jail before for other things. The judge said he will get a prison sentence, but more reports need to be done first. He did appear in court.
Montague, 31, admitted to threatening behavior which happened in Dundee last year. He shouted, swore, and threatened violence. He also admitted to having the knives.
He put a knife on Nova’s body and threatened to stab Kilo. Additionally, he admitted to a second charge involving two knives.
A lawyer, Joanne Ritchie, spoke in court, stating that Montague was being supervised at the time. He owns the two dogs, Kilo and Nova. His sister wanted him to get them.
She messaged him about the furniture being chewed, and noted that he seemed angry. He walked past Nova and yelled at her, calling her a very mean name.
He pulled out the big zombie knife that was strapped to his chest, which his other sister saw on a video call. He chased Nova and pressed the knife on her body.
His sister, Roxanne, told him to leave the room, so he got off the bed and asked where Kilo was hiding. Roxanne tried to protect Kilo in the bathroom.
Kilo got so scared that he peed and shook. Montague threatened to stab Kilo. Roxanne pushed Montague out of the bathroom and screamed at him to leave the house.
He left with the dogs and the knife. Police arrived and found Montague nearby where he was arrested. They found both knives in his bag and seized the dogs.
