A manhunt is underway for the attacker who fatally stabbed a young rapper in Woolwich
Woolwich: A heartbreaking incident unfolded when a 14-year-old boy, known as ‘Grippa’, was fatally stabbed on a bus. This tragic event happened on the 472 bus heading to Abbey Wood, and it’s being called a “horrendous crime” by the police.
Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 2:30 PM, finding the bus surrounded by police and ambulances. Sadly, despite their efforts, the young rapper was pronounced dead shortly after.
Friends of Grippa are devastated, sharing their sorrow on social media. They remember him as someone who was “taken too soon” and have been posting clips of his latest song, “Bangers and Mash,” which he released on Christmas Day. Right now, the police are actively searching for the person responsible, but no arrests have been made yet.
The stabbing took place on Woolwich Church Road, near the A205 South Circular Road. A friend of Grippa, clearly upset, spoke to the press, saying he couldn’t believe this happened to someone so nice and talented.
Superintendent Louise Sargent, the local borough commander, arrived at the scene and expressed her sadness over the loss. She confirmed that police were called to the bus after a report of the stabbing and that they are working quickly to find those involved.
She also mentioned that the community can expect to see more police around as they continue their investigation. It’s a tough time for everyone, especially given how young the victim was.
