A tragic stabbing on a Woolwich bus has left a 14-year-old boy dead, prompting police investigations and road closures in the area
Woolwich: A 14-year-old boy has tragically died after being stabbed on a bus. This happened on Woolwich Church Road earlier today. The police have set up a cordon and closed off some roads.
Emergency services arrived around 2:30 PM, but sadly, the boy succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The incident took place on the number 472 bus, close to the A205 South Circular Road.
Right now, no one has been arrested, but the police are actively investigating. Some bus routes, including the 161, 177, 180, and 472, are being diverted due to the ongoing situation.
This stabbing follows another incident in Woolwich just yesterday, where a Year 12 student from Shooters Hill Sixth Form College is fighting for his life in the hospital. It’s unclear if these two events are connected. Keep an eye on our live blog for updates.
