Leanne Price from Cwmbran shares her inspiring weight loss journey and newfound confidence
Cwmbran: A mother named Leanne Price has made a remarkable change in her life. She lost an incredible 6 stone 5 pounds, going from feeling self-conscious to being full of confidence.
At 46, Leanne lives in Cwmbran with her husband, Jason, and their son, Luke. She used to weigh 18 stone 2 pounds but now weighs 11 stone 11 pounds.
Her weight loss journey began with the Slimming World program. Leanne recalls how, at her heaviest, she felt trapped by her size. Every moment was clouded by her self-consciousness, especially during holidays.
She dreaded those holiday moments, often hiding behind baggy clothes and feeling uncomfortable in the heat. But everything changed when she started losing weight.
“I’m no longer the person who dreads holidays or hides in baggy clothes,” she said. “Now, I embrace each day with excitement.”
Leanne credits her success to Slimming World and her consultant, Rachel, who made her feel comfortable and supported. “It didn’t feel like a diet; it became a way of life,” she explained.
As the weight came off, she noticed not just physical changes but emotional ones too. She began to enjoy life in ways she never thought possible.
Feeling comfortable in her clothes and walking into a room without fear of judgment became her new reality. Activities she once avoided, like swimming and Zumba, became things she looked forward to.
“I’m a completely different person now, not just in how I look but in how I think,” Leanne shared. “I don’t let fear hold me back anymore.”
She believes Slimming World helped her rediscover her self-worth and embrace a more active lifestyle. Excitingly, she’s launching a new Slimming World group on January 28 at Cwmbran Stadium, every Tuesday at 7 PM.
