A woman in her 60s was hospitalized after a car crashed into a pharmacy in Inverness, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
Emergency services were quick on the scene after the alarm went off around 2:20 PM. An ambulance crew arrived and took the woman, who’s in her 60s, to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.
Photos from the scene showed the car inside the shop, having crashed through the front door. The area was cordoned off while police looked into what happened.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland mentioned they got the call about the crash at 2:20 PM. Thankfully, the female driver was the only one hurt, and she was taken to the hospital just to be safe.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said they received the call a few minutes earlier and had their first responders there in about five minutes.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also responded, sending two fire engines to ensure everything was safe after the incident.
