A woman was taken to the hospital following a head injury at Pembrokeshire’s seafront, prompting a significant emergency response.
Pembrokeshire: Yesterday, a woman had a bit of a scare at the seafront. She ended up with a head injury, and emergency services jumped into action.
It all kicked off around noon. Police, paramedics, and even a coastguard helicopter showed up to help out. The whole scene was buzzing for over two hours.
Fishguard Coastguards were the first on the scene. They quickly checked on her and gave her some medical aid while waiting for the paramedics to arrive.
As her condition changed, they called in more help, including a rescue helicopter from HM Coastguard – Moylegrove. Talk about teamwork!
Before long, the helicopter landed, and the land ambulance rolled in too. The paramedics on the helicopter assessed her right there before she was taken to the hospital for more care.
Some folks from the Fishguard Lifeboat crew were nearby and jumped in to help. The coastguard gave them a shout-out for their amazing support, saying it shows how dedicated people are to saving lives.
An RNLI vehicle also showed up to bring extra medical supplies, just in case. The helicopter took off around 1:30 PM, while the paramedics stayed on the scene until about 2:30 PM.
Once the woman was safely on her way to the hospital, the coastguards wrapped things up and headed back to their station.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard, Fishguard, expressed gratitude to everyone who helped out, saying, “Many thanks to everyone involved in supporting us and the casualty.”
