Jade, 27, said her mom was discovered at The Gurkha Buffet Restaurant. She feels so sad knowing her mom was alone in that cold bathroom while people were just eating and drinking nearby.
Apparently, customers complained they couldn’t get into the toilet, thinking it was a lock issue. When they finally opened it, they found Sabrina. Jade is angry, feeling that if the staff had done their usual checks, her mom might have been found sooner.
Jade mentioned that CCTV showed her mom entering the restaurant on November 28. They’re not sure why she went into the toilet, but police confirmed there were no drugs involved. It’s just so tragic.
Jade believes her mom might have picked the lock to get in, maybe to get warm after being released from prison the day before. She remembers her mom as a kind and funny person, despite her struggles with addiction and homelessness.
Police said they were called about a sudden death on November 30. They found a woman in her 40s, and while it’s sad, they don’t suspect foul play. The restaurant hasn’t commented yet, but this whole situation is just so heartbreaking.
