A woman was taken into custody for suspected drink driving after her Land Rover flipped over in Toxteth, causing significant disruption.
Toxteth: So, there was this wild incident where a woman got arrested for drink driving after her Land Rover flipped over. It all went down at the junction of Sefton Park Road and Croxeth Road around 9:55 AM on January 7.
Apparently, there was a crash involving her Land Rover and another car, an MG. Photos from the scene showed the Land Rover on its side, with firefighters all around it. It looked pretty intense, and the crash even messed up some railings nearby.
Luckily, no one got hurt, according to the Merseyside Police. But the driver of the MG, who’s also a woman, was taken in for suspected drink driving. Talk about a rough morning!
On top of that, there was a yellow weather warning in effect, which started the night before. The snow was causing all sorts of travel chaos across Merseyside, with delays on roads, trains, and even flights.
Schools in the area decided to close down to keep everyone safe. The Met Office was warning about hail, sleet, and snow showers hitting various parts of the UK, which just added to the mess.
