Tenby: A charity golf tournament recently took place, and it was a blast! The event raised around £700 for two fantastic causes.

It was the Tenby Mixed Section’s annual charity mixed greensomes, and everyone had a great time. The clubhouse was packed for the presentation, which made it even more special.

Held on December 29, the weather was just perfect for golf. You couldn’t ask for better conditions, and it showed in the scores.

The competition was fierce, with only a handful of pairs breaking the 40-point barrier. It was definitely a nail-biter!

In fourth place, Treveyne Keohane and Mick Seal scored 40 points, with a solid 22 on the back nine, earning £10 each.

Angie Gottwaltz and Roger Schooling snagged third place with 41 points, taking home £20 each.

Sarah Phillips and Dave Morris, who have been clubhouse leaders for a while, came in second with 42 points, winning £30 each.

But the real stars were Anna and Steve Sutcliffe, who clinched the win with 42 points after a thrilling countback on the last three holes. They walked away with £40 each!

The mixed committee was super grateful to everyone who participated. They also gave a shoutout to club captain Heather Morgan and ladies’ captain Penny Cope for their hard work in securing raffle prizes.

Special thanks went to Karen Thomas and Gilly Jones for selling raffle tickets, and to Penny and Dai Cope for providing refreshments on the sixth tee. Everyone loved it!
