Discover the dragons of Dragons’ Den and learn about guest dragon Joe Wicks
London: January kicks off with some exciting TV, including the new season of Dragons’ Den. The 22nd series premieres on January 9 at 8pm on BBC One, and there are some fresh guest dragons joining the usual crew.
Dragons’ Den has been around since 2005, and Peter Jones is the only original dragon still on the panel. Entrepreneurs come in to pitch their ideas, hoping to snag an investment from these business moguls.
Over the years, the show has seen some fantastic success stories, like Levi Roots’ Reggae Reggae Sauce. The hopefuls for 2025 are aiming to follow in those footsteps. Let’s check out the dragons and guest dragons for this season.
Deborah Meaden, who joined in 2006, was the only female dragon until 2011. She made her fortune through family holiday businesses and retail. Her net worth is around £40 million, and she’s invested over £2 million in various businesses.
Then there’s Peter Jones, the longest-serving dragon. He’s been there since the first series and has had his share of ups and downs. He’s known for his investment in Levi Roots and has also started his own foundation to support women in education.
Steven Bartlett is the youngest dragon, famous for his podcast, The Diary of a CEO. It’s one of the most listened-to podcasts globally, and he joined the show in 2021.
Touker Suleyman, a fashion retail entrepreneur, has been a dragon since 2015 and has invested in many businesses. Sara Davies, the other female dragon, joined in 2019 and has also competed on Strictly Come Dancing.
Recently, Sara had to buy back her business, Crafters Companion, after it went into administration. She’s got a lot going on in her life, but she believes in her team and wants to support them.
Now, let’s talk about the guest dragons for 2025. Joe Wicks, known as The Body Coach, is one of them. He’s made a name for himself in the health and wellness world with his online workouts and best-selling books. Joe is excited to meet the passionate entrepreneurs and share his journey with them.
Trinny Woodall, founder of Trinny London, is another guest dragon. She started as a fashion columnist and has built her beauty brand into a global success. Trinny is eager to discover new ideas and help entrepreneurs achieve their goals.
Lastly, Emma Grede is returning as a guest dragon after her appearance in 2024. She’s thrilled to be back and loves supporting emerging entrepreneurs. It’s all about giving them a chance to shine!
