Newport: Tayce, the first drag artist on Strictly Come Dancing, and pro dancer Kai Widdrington just snagged the top spot in the Christmas special. They wowed everyone with their cha-cha to “100 Degrees” by Kylie and Dannii Minogue, scoring a perfect four 10s!

Judge Craig was all about the compliments, calling their performance “absolutely fierce.” It was a fun night, with comedian Josh Widdicombe and Karen Hauer also taking the stage, dressed as penguins, no less!

Anton Du Beke even made a cheeky reference to his past partner, Ann Widdecombe, while commenting on Josh and Karen’s routine. He was super impressed, saying, “I am gobsmacked, that was totally brilliant.”

Other stars included Vogue Williams and Gorka Marquez, who jived to “Rockin’ Robin,” and they scored 33 points. Tamzin Outhwaite and Nikita Kuzmin danced a lovely Viennese waltz, which Anton compared to his favorite Christmas dessert—how sweet is that?

The show kicked off with a group dance to “I Love Christmas” and wrapped up with a performance of “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day.” Emma Bunton even joined in with a Spice Girls classic!

In the end, Tayce and Kai took home the Christmas star trophy after the audience votes were combined with the judges’ scores. Last year’s winner was Jamie Borthwick, who also competed this year.
