Wales: Looks like we’re in for more snow soon! The Met Office is saying that next week could bring even heavier snowfall than what we just had over the weekend.

As of Sunday morning, there are three weather warnings in place. A yellow warning for snow and ice has been active since Saturday afternoon and will last until midnight Sunday.

There’s also an amber warning for snow and ice that started Saturday evening and will continue until midday Sunday. Plus, a yellow rain warning is in effect until 9pm Sunday. If you want to stay updated, you can sign up for the latest Welsh news in your inbox.

Most of the snow from Saturday night will likely melt away during the day, but don’t get too comfortable—more is on the way! The Met Office maps show rain falling across most of Wales on Sunday.

Looking ahead to Monday, we can expect sporadic snowfall in areas like Merthyr Tydfil and parts of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. As the day goes on, the snow will spread, especially in Newtown and northern Wales. Monday night into Tuesday morning could bring even more snow before things calm down later on Tuesday.

By Wednesday afternoon, heavy snow could blanket most of south Wales, including Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Swansea, and Cardiff. The snow is expected to continue throughout the day, tapering off in the west but lingering in the east.

Stay tuned for the latest weather updates where you live!
