A man has been jailed for violently attacking his pregnant girlfriend, raising serious concerns for women’s safety

This guy has a long history of trouble with the law, with 35 previous convictions. He pleaded guilty to assault and breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order. His lawyer mentioned that he’s been through a lot, losing family members and struggling with alcohol, but that doesn’t excuse his actions.
