Snow and ice have led to school closures across Wales, causing significant disruptions for students and families.
Cardiff: A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in effect for Wales until 10am Tuesday. It started at 5pm Monday, so folks might wake up to some snow on the ground.
If you’re in areas that didn’t get much snow, watch out for ice. The freezing temps are making surface water freeze, which can be tricky. Dyfed-Powys Police mentioned that road conditions in Ceredigion were pretty bad on Monday night, so they’re advising people to travel only if it’s necessary.
The Met Office says Tuesday will be a cold, icy morning with some wintry showers. It’s going to stay chilly and breezy, especially in the north and west, but there will be some sunshine peeking through. Just remember, it’s going to feel cold with that brisk wind!
By the way, here’s the list of school closures in Wales for Tuesday, January 7, as of 6:30am: Pembrokeshire, Powys, Flintshire. We’ll keep an eye on things and update if more closures pop up.
