Two men were hospitalized following a fiery road accident in Edinburgh on Friday night, prompting an investigation by local authorities
Edinburgh: A serious road crash happened on Friday night, and it was quite a scene. Two guys ended up in the hospital after their vehicles caught fire.
The accident took place around 9:30 PM on Beancross Road, close to the railway bridge. It involved a white Citroen van, a grey Suzuki, and a black Hyundai.
Things got intense when the van and Suzuki burst into flames. Thankfully, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was quick to put out the fire.
Emergency crews were on the scene in no time. The 29-year-old driver of the van and the 32-year-old driver of the Suzuki were both taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old woman driving the Hyundai was sent to Forth Valley Hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for about nine hours while the authorities investigated what happened.
Sergeant Fraser Easton mentioned they’re still looking into the details of the crash. He urged anyone who saw the accident and hasn’t talked to the police yet to reach out.
