Kingussie: So, there are two lynx just wandering around in the Highlands of Scotland. Crazy, right? The authorities are really stressing that folks should keep their distance from these big cats.

They’ve been spotted in the Cairngorms, and it seems like they might have been let loose illegally. The Cairngorms National Park Authority is on it, working with Police Scotland to figure out what’s going on.

Even though lynx are usually pretty shy and don’t pose much of a threat to people, it’s still not a good idea to get too close. A spokesperson from the park authority made it clear that they’re not happy about this illegal release and are worried about the lynx’s well-being.

Highland Wildlife Park is also involved, trying to help track down the animals. They’re echoing the advice to stay away if you see them. The lynx were last seen near Drumguish, close to Kingussie, so if you happen to spot them, it’s best to call the police and let them know.

Just a heads up, if you’re in the area, keep your eyes peeled but don’t go chasing after these cats. It’s all about keeping everyone safe, including the lynx!
