Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the tragic death of Leah Casson in a house fire in North Shields
North Shields: It’s been a tough couple of years since Leah Casson lost her life in that awful house fire. Recently, two people were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. It’s a big step in the ongoing investigation.
Leah, just 18, tragically died at the scene on Vicarage Street back in January 2023. The police are still piecing together what happened that night.
A young man in his late teens was taken in by Northumbria Police on January 8, and a woman in her 40s was also re-arrested. Both have been released on bail while the investigation continues.
