Middlesbrough: Twin brothers are on trial for attempted murder. They are accused of being involved in a shooting that left a man blind.

Arron and Nathan Blagg, both 26, allegedly led a group that confronted people at a house. This happened on May 17 last year. A black Kia Sorrento and a quad bike drove past a home on Marton Road.

The prosecution claims a passenger on the quad bike shot Jamie Tindall in the face. Arron Blagg is said to have driven the Kia, which crashed into a gate post but did not hit Tindall.

Nathan Blagg was reportedly in the passenger seat. While neither twin is accused of firing the gun, they are said to have planned the confrontation, armed with knives and aware that someone had a gun.

The Blagg twins, from North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, deny the charges. They claim they were not at the scene.

In court, it was revealed that Tindall collapsed in a friend’s backyard. His cousin, Aaron Harvey, broke the Kia’s front window. Nathan Blagg allegedly exited the car with a machete, leading to a brief standoff.

Tindall lost his sight in both eyes due to the shooting. CCTV footage showed the vehicles driving past and then returning to the house.

On the second day of the trial, Tindall appeared via video link. He spent 11 weeks in the hospital and was waiting for a ride when the incident occurred.

Aaron Blagg’s lawyer asked Tindall if he saw the driver. Tindall responded that he did when he stepped outside. He picked up a machete from the ground, ready for trouble.

Tindall mentioned there were many tools around because they were expecting a fight. The trial is ongoing.
