Port Glasgow: It’s a tough day for everyone as they remember Scott McFadden, a dad who was taken too soon. Family and friends are coming together to say their goodbyes.

Scott was just 38 when he was in a Volkswagen Golf that hit a parked Peugeot on Clune Brae. This happened late on a Monday night back in December.

Emergency services were quick to respond, but sadly, Scott was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman, 50, was arrested but has since been released while investigations continue.

People are sharing their love for Scott, calling him a cherished son, husband, and friend. His family is heartbroken, and today, they’ll gather at Greenock Crematorium to pay their respects.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help with funeral costs, and it’s already raised over £3,130. Scott’s sister Fiona expressed her gratitude, saying it means so much to the family.

Scott’s cousin Sophie shared on Facebook how his loss is hitting everyone hard. He was a fantastic guy, and his wife Claire and their two young boys are in everyone’s thoughts.

Messages of support are pouring in, with many expressing their sorrow. One person wrote, “So sorry for your loss. What a cruel world it is.” Another added, “My heart is broken for you and your beautiful boys.”

It’s a heartbreaking situation, and the community is rallying around Scott’s family during this difficult time.
