Abertillery’s former library will be converted into office space, but future tenants remain unknown
Abertillery: So, the old library in Abertillery is getting a makeover into office space. It just closed down a few months ago, and now there’s a plan for it.
Nick Landers from the local council has put in a request to change the building’s use. They want to turn it into a mix of office spaces, which sounds pretty interesting.
This new setup will be good for professional services, and they’re also planning some extra work on the building. It’s all part of a bigger plan.
The library just moved to a newly renovated spot at Trinity Chapel in the town center. It reopened in mid-September, and now it’s got a learning center and community hub too.
Even though this move was in the works for a while, people are still wondering what will happen to the old library building. There’s been no clear plan shared yet.
The council mentioned they’re looking at different options for the building and have had some interest from potential users. So, who knows what might happen?
Plans show there could be up to five office rooms in the old library, plus some meeting and breakout spaces. Sounds like a nice upgrade!
