A 10k run in Torfaen aims to raise funds for St David’s Hospice Care, helping provide vital services in the community
Torfaen: There’s an exciting fundraising run coming up in Torfaen! The Pontypool 10k Home Run is set to raise money for a really important hospice service.
This event, sponsored by Mamhilad Park Estate, is all about supporting St David’s Hospice Care. It’s happening on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 10 am in Pontypool Park.
No matter your fitness level, you can join in. The race will be chip-timed and will take you through some lovely terrains, starting and finishing in Pontypool Park while winding along the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal.
Whether you want to walk, jog, or run, everyone’s welcome. You can even dress up if you feel like it!
All participants will get a race number, and the route will be marshalled with signs and first aid available. Plus, you’ll earn a medal and enjoy free parking.
The event encourages everyone to raise sponsorship for St David’s Hospice Care, which offers free services in South East Wales. You can easily set up a JustGiving page or use traditional sponsorship forms.
While the entry fee hasn’t been confirmed yet, you can register for the event on the St David’s Hospice Care website.
