Three more people face charges after a pro-Palestinian protest in London, bringing the total to nine charged since the event.
London: So, there was this pro-Palestinian protest in central London, and it got a bit out of hand. A total of 77 people were arrested, and now three more folks are facing charges.
Among those charged is Benjamin Jamal, a 61-year-old from Kingston-upon-Thames. He’s accused of inciting people to break protest rules. He’s set to appear in court soon.
Then there’s Jamila Zadran, a 32-year-old from East Ham, who’s charged with assaulting an emergency worker. She’ll be in court shortly too.
And let’s not forget Luke Jacobs, a 22-year-old from West Hampstead, who’s in trouble for obstructing a police officer and causing some damage. He’s got a court date coming up as well.
Interestingly, former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and MP John McDonnell were also interviewed by the police after the protest. They were seen at the rally but haven’t commented on the situation.
It’s been a busy time for the police, with nine people already charged with public order offences related to this protest. It’s definitely a hot topic right now.
