Chelmsford: So, three young guys are facing trial for the murder of Kieran Shepherd, a well-loved dad. This tragic incident happened last October in Meadgate Avenue.

Kieran was found unresponsive by a passerby on October 21. The police got a call about an assault around lunchtime, and firearms officers were sent to the scene.

The accused are Joseph Dawe, Zack O’Keeffe, and Harrison Carpenter, all in their late teens. They were arrested and charged with Kieran’s murder shortly after the incident.

In court, they showed little emotion while pleading not guilty. The trial is set for August 11 and is expected to last at least four weeks. The judge made it clear that if they don’t show up, the trial will still go on.

Kieran’s family shared a heartfelt statement, saying he was a kind and loving person, and his loss has left a huge void in their lives. They’ll always remember him fondly.
