Three individuals have been arrested following an assault in Byker, where a man in his 30s was hospitalized with minor injuries
Byker: So, there was this incident on Shields Road where two men and a woman got arrested. They were involved in an assault that left a man in his 30s needing a trip to the hospital, but thankfully, his injuries were minor.
The good news is that the guy has already been discharged from the hospital. According to Northumbria Police, he had injuries that looked like he’d been assaulted, but nothing too serious.
Now, the police have three people in custody. This includes a man in his 40s who’s suspected of unlawful wounding, another man in his 30s suspected of affray, and a woman in her 40s who’s suspected of attempted wounding with intent to cause serious harm.
A spokesperson from Northumbria Police said they got the call about the assault around 10 am on Friday. When they arrived, they found the man with those minor injuries.
