Thomas Dures faces murder charges in the death of Matthew Daulby after extradition from Greece
Ormskirk: So, there’s been a big development in a murder case that’s been making headlines. Thomas Dures, just 21, has been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Matthew Daulby.
He was extradited from Greece after being arrested there. Dures appeared in court via video link from Heathrow Airport. It all went down at Preston Magistrates’ Court.
Interestingly, he didn’t enter a plea. He just confirmed who he was. Dures was arrested in Athens, and it’s been quite a journey to get him back to the UK.
Last year, another guy, Henry Houghton, was sentenced to life for his part in the same incident. Dures is now in custody and is set to appear at Preston Crown Court soon.
Matthew Daulby was tragically stabbed in the chest during a street fight last July. It’s a tough situation, and the community is still reeling from it.
Houghton was found guilty earlier this year, and the post-mortem confirmed that a stab wound was the cause of Matthew’s death. Dures will have his day in court soon, and everyone is waiting to see what happens next.
