A new development in Aberporth offers stunning homes but hides some surprises
Aberporth: If you stumble upon this row of 15 new houses perched above the coast, you might think they’re just another pretty sight. But there’s more to these homes than meets the eye, and it’s not just about their stunning location or eye-catching design.
These homes are part of the Longshore development, a unique project featuring 15 houses right above the award-winning Aberporth beach. It’s a short stroll to the sandy shore and the heart of the village, making it a prime spot.
Created by Evermôr, a niche builder known for its stylish, eco-friendly homes in amazing locations, Longshore was launched as part of a Welsh Government pilot scheme aimed at helping locals buy homes in their area.
Three of the homes were sold to local key workers at affordable prices. The rest were marketed exclusively to locals for six months under the ‘Fair Chance’ scheme. This approach drew a lot of interest, with over half of the homes going to local buyers.
Now, the remaining homes are available on the open market, starting at £545,000 for four-bedroom properties. Each home features high-end finishes, like underfloor heating and award-winning kitchens with integrated appliances.
Outside, you’ll find off-road parking and outdoor showers, plus breathtaking views of the Ceredigion coast. The layout is designed to maximize those views, with the open-plan kitchen and living area on the first floor.
Leighton Morgans from Evermôr expressed excitement about showcasing this stunning development, highlighting the chance to own a piece of coastal paradise in Aberporth.
Claire Turner from Savills praised Longshore for its exceptional design and location, noting that Aberporth is a highly desirable village with a lively food scene and beautiful beaches.
Aberporth is a charming village along the Ceredigion coastal path, boasting a variety of pubs, cafés, and restaurants, along with its famous beaches.
The principal bedroom takes up the entire top floor and features a Juliet balcony with a sea view. Ceredigion was even named the ‘Best Place to Live’ in Wales by the Sunday Times in 2025, thanks to its low crime rates and great amenities.
Savills is inviting potential buyers to visit the development and check out the show home, but viewings are by appointment only. For more details, you can reach out to Savills in Cardiff.
