Barry Island: Well, folks, it’s a wrap! Grab those tissues because this finale is going to hit you right in the feels.

The last 90 minutes of Gavin & Stacey had us laughing and crying, especially with that hedge jump in Dave’s Coaches. What a ride!

Honestly, it was the perfect way to end one of Britain’s favorite comedies. I mean, who wouldn’t want it to finish just like that?

We had to circle around a bit, but we finally got there, and it was just glorious. Comedy shines brightest in those odd, heartfelt moments.

John Sullivan, the genius behind Only Fools and Horses, knew how to mix laughter with those gut-wrenching moments. And Ruth Jones and James Corden? Their writing is right up there with the best.

Every time I think of a Pete and Dawn exchange, I can’t help but laugh, and then there’s Mick’s touching tribute to Smithy. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions!

And let’s not forget Pam’s classic “oh my Christ” moments. They always crack me up! It’s so relatable and familiar, yet hilarious.

Jones mentioned that the show’s charm lies in the love between the characters, and she’s spot on. That genuine connection is what makes it resonate with so many.

Fans got the happy ending they craved—a wedding between Smithy and Nessa! If you’re bummed about it, were you even a true fan?

I was cool with the cliffhanger in 2019, but I’m glad they wrapped it up nicely. If they hadn’t, it could’ve dragged on forever.

When Sonia popped back up, the gasps in the press screening were priceless. Who saw that coming? Kudos to Laura Aikman for keeping it under wraps!

But don’t worry, the laughs were still there. From Pete’s new look to Bryn’s hilarious reaction to Dave Coaches, it was all gold.

Mathew Horne and Jo Page really shone in this final episode. Horne seemed so relaxed, and it made the whole thing even more enjoyable.

We got some great callbacks too—Owain Hughes, KFC corn-on-the-cob, and the mystery of the fishing trip. Classic British comedy distractions!

As Ruth Jones said, these characters will live on in our hearts, even after the finale. Fans will always have a piece of Gavin & Stacey with them.
