Beaconsfield: This lovely little town is one of the richest in Britain, with a whopping 450 millionaires calling it home.

According to WealthInsight, a London-based wealth consultancy, they’ve mapped out the wealthiest small towns and villages in the UK.

Beaconsfield ranks fourth, right behind Windsor, and it’s just under 25 miles from central London. Nestled in the Chiltern Hills, it’s a prime spot for commuters.

The town’s train station, served by Chiltern Railways, offers quick 25-minute rides into London, making it super convenient for those working in the city.

Property prices here are sky-high, averaging around £1,051,713, which explains why so many wealthy folks live in the area.

WealthInsight analyst Andrew Amolis noted that Beaconsfield has the highest average house price outside London, with homes going for over £597,000. Plus, the average household income is a nice £88,000.

What’s cool about Beaconsfield is its mix of old and new. The old town has a charming main street with Georgian and Tudor-style buildings, shops, pubs, and even a weekly market.

On the flip side, the new town features popular high street shops like M&S and the Crazy Bear Hotel, which dates back to the 15th century.

Just a stone’s throw away is The Royal Standard of England, a historic pub that’s said to be the oldest in Britain. It’s even made appearances in films and TV shows!

Don’t forget about Bekonscot Model Village, the world’s oldest model village, which opened its doors in 1929. It’s a fun spot for locals and visitors alike.

Nature lovers will appreciate the local nature reserve, Holtspur Bank, which is home to various orchids, butterflies, and other plants.

Beaconsfield is set in the stunning Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty filled with picturesque landscapes, historic sites, and charming villages.

For families, Buckinghamshire Council has a selective secondary education system. Kids can take the 11+ test in year 6, and about 30% qualify for grammar schools and upper schools.
