Birmingham’s King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls shines in rankings, celebrating happy students and impressive academic achievements
This school, located in Kings Heath, has really outdone itself, climbing 10 places from last year. It’s not just about the rankings; it also topped the regional charts for A Level and GCSE results. Plus, it was named the overall State Secondary School of the Year for the UK.
The school caters to girls aged 11 to 18 and is part of the King Edward VI Foundation family. They expressed their pride in a statement, saying they feel ‘humbled’ by their achievements. Jodh Dhesi, the chief executive of the foundation, shared how proud they are of all their schools and their commitment to making Birmingham a top education hub.
Ofsted gave the school an ‘outstanding’ rating during their last inspection in November 2021, praising everything from the quality of education to the leadership. Inspectors noted that it’s an “inspirational place to be,” where students are happy and thrive.
