Hartlepool: So, three teenage boys have admitted to setting fire to the historic Wesley Chapel. It’s a real shame because that place has so much history.

They can’t be named, but they confessed to the arson charge at Teesside Youth Court. This all happened after a big fire broke out on November 7 last year.

Fire crews rushed to the scene, and it was quite a sight. The chapel, which is a Grade II-listed building, was engulfed in flames. You could see smoke and flames from blocks away.

There were five fire engines on the scene, and they even used an aerial ladder to tackle the blaze. It was pretty intense, with aerial shots showing just how bad it was.

Some footage even captured the side of the chapel collapsing, with bricks falling onto the street. It was a shocking sight for everyone around.

This isn’t the first time the chapel has faced such trouble; it’s the second fire there in six years. People on social media were really upset, calling it “so sad” and “shocking.”

It’s just a tough situation all around, and it’s hard to see such a beloved building in ruins.
