A 15-year-old boy is in serious condition after a hit-and-run in Barrhead
Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the injured boy. He was quickly taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
The police have been working hard on this case. They found out that a car hit the boy and then just drove off. They believe the vehicle is a silver Vauxhall Astra and are still trying to track it down.
Sergeant Ally Wright mentioned that they’ve confirmed a car was involved and are looking into all the details surrounding the incident. He’s asking anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward if they saw anything or have any information.
If you have dash-cam footage or private CCTV that might help, they want to hear from you too. Anyone with info can call 101 and quote reference 4085 from January 1, 2025.
