An 18-year-old was seriously hurt in a Portobello street attack by masked men on e-scooters
Edinburgh: So, there was this pretty serious incident in Portobello. An 18-year-old guy got attacked on Bath Street by two masked men on e-scooters. It happened around 6:40 PM on January 11.
Emergency services rushed him to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Thankfully, his injuries are serious but not life-threatening. Still, it’s a scary situation.
Police are on the case, trying to track down three men involved. The two on the scooters were wearing black balaclavas and dark clothes. They’re described as tall and slim.
Then there’s a third guy, who’s stocky with blonde hair. It sounds like they really planned this out, and the police think it was a targeted attack.
Detective Inspector Dougal Begg is asking anyone who might have seen something or has dash-cam footage to come forward. They want to get to the bottom of this.
