An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a woman at a wake in Harlesden, leaving the community in shock.
London: So, there was this tragic incident in Harlesden where a woman named Michelle Sadio, 44, was shot dead outside a church. It happened after a wake, which is just heartbreaking.
The police have arrested an 18-year-old guy in connection with the shooting. They took him into custody on January 8, and it’s a big step in the investigation.
Michelle’s family is being supported by specially trained officers, which is good to hear. Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke is leading the case and is urging anyone with info to come forward. He called it a senseless act of violence.
On December 14, the police got reports of the shooting around 9:15 PM. It all went down on Gifford Road, right outside the church where Michelle and others were gathered after the wake.
Sadly, despite the paramedics’ efforts, Michelle didn’t make it. Two other men were also hurt, one of whom is still in critical condition. The shots came from a black Kia Niro, which was later found abandoned and set on fire.
