Harlow: A 16-year-old boy is in some serious trouble after a wild incident at a shopping center. It all started when Essex Police got reports of two alarming events in the town.
First, around 2:15 PM on January 7, a 17-year-old was reportedly forced into a car on Terminus Street. Then, just a couple of hours later, paramedics were called to Staple Tye Shopping Centre for a man in his 30s who had life-threatening injuries.
Police quickly shut down the shopping center while paramedics worked hard to help the injured man, who is still recovering in the hospital. It’s a pretty scary situation for everyone involved.
Authorities believe these two incidents are linked. The next day, they arrested a 16-year-old from Harlow, charging him with attempted murder, kidnap, and a few other serious offenses.
This boy, whose name can’t be shared due to legal reasons, appeared in court and is set to go back for another hearing soon. A 19-year-old man from Harlow was also arrested but has been released on bail.
Additionally, two more teens from North Weald were caught up in this mess, with one being 19 and the other 17. They’re both out on bail as well, waiting for their court dates.
