Swansea City updates on potential transfers and player recoveries as the club navigates interest from Leeds United and Rangers
First up, coach Luke Williams mentioned he hasn’t heard anything about interest in Falkirk’s right-back, Keelan Adams. But he didn’t completely rule out a move for the 23-year-old. Adams has a year left on his contract with Falkirk, and it seems Swansea, along with Leeds and Rangers, might be keeping an eye on him.
Williams said he’s not been informed about any interest yet. He joked about how he can’t keep track of everything since managing the team is a full-time gig.
On the injury front, Sam Parker and Josh Ginnelly are back in training, which is great news! Ginnelly has been out for over a year with an Achilles injury, while Parker has been sidelined due to a hamstring issue. They won’t be ready for the upcoming match against Hull City, but Williams is optimistic they’ll be back soon.
Goalkeeper Andy Fisher is also nearing a return after surgery for a groin injury, but Joe Allen is still recovering. Unfortunately, Kristian Pedersen is facing a longer recovery after his hamstring surgery.
Lastly, Williams expressed his support for former Swansea boss Russell Martin, who was recently let go by Southampton. He believes Martin did a fantastic job and is confident he’ll find his way back to the Premier League soon. Williams knows how resilient Martin is and expects to see him managing at a high level again in the near future.
