Swansea City will postpone contract discussions with Harry Darling until summer as a loanee departs the club after limited appearances
They’ve already managed to secure Ben Cabango, who was also in a similar situation. Darling has been a key player, starting every league game this season, but things aren’t moving forward with his contract.
There’s still an offer on the table, but it seems like it’s up to him now. The club thinks it’s best to let him focus on his game for now. After a recent loss, the coach mentioned there hasn’t been any progress on the contract front.
They’re also looking to bring in a new centre-back this January, with Joe Low from Wycombe Wanderers being a top target. Meanwhile, Nelson Abbey, who was on loan from Olympiakos, is heading out after not getting much playtime.
The coach said Abbey is a great guy and will do well wherever he goes next. It’s a bit of a shake-up, but that’s football for you!
