Luke Williams remains committed to Swansea City amid West Brom links, focusing on his team’s progress and upcoming matches.
Swansea City: Luke Williams is all in on his role at Swansea, despite the buzz about West Bromwich Albion wanting him as their new manager.
Before the match against Luton Town, there were whispers online that he was being eyed for the job after Carlos Corberan left. It seems Russell Martin, a former Swansea boss, has already turned it down.
But according to WalesOnline, West Brom hasn’t reached out to Williams or his team yet. He’s made it clear he’s focused on his work at Swansea, especially after their recent win that puts them just four points from the play-offs.
“I love Swansea, so we’ll see,” he said. “I don’t think those rumors are true. We’ve got games coming up every few days, so I’m just concentrating on that right now.”
Williams feels they’re in the thick of something special at Swansea. “I hope it’s just the middle of our journey,” he added. “I don’t want to sound dramatic, but I don’t think it’s the start or the end.”
He’s excited about the energy in the stadium and how the players are starting to connect with the fans. “I want the supporters to feel that connection with the players on the pitch,” he said.
When asked if West Brom should reach out to him or his agent, he chuckled, “They can call my agent and let me focus on my job here. That’s what agents are for!”
