Swansea: So, there’s this chef named Tybion Jones who got into a bit of trouble. He was caught with almost a kilo of cannabis. Turns out, he was just holding it for others because he had racked up a debt from his own use. Not a great situation, right?

In court, the judge told him he really stressed out his loved ones and needed to get his act together. The police found the stash when they responded to a domestic incident. They discovered a big black bag in his bedroom filled with 20 smaller bags of cannabis, worth between £3,000 and £6,000. They even found a knife, but it was just for show, not anything dangerous.

Tybion, who lives in Penclawdd, had already admitted to having the cannabis with the intent to supply, but he insisted he wasn’t doing it for profit. He’s got no previous convictions, which is a plus. His lawyer mentioned that he’s always worked as a chef and had a job lined up at a new restaurant in Mumbles.

The judge noted that Tybion started using cannabis at just 13 years old. He got overwhelmed by his situation and ended up in this mess. But instead of sending him to prison, the judge decided to give him a chance. He got a 12-month community order and has to do 120 hours of unpaid work. Hopefully, this helps him turn things around.
