London: One of the UK’s leading supermarkets is bringing back its free coffee offer for loyalty card members. And guess what? You don’t even need to buy anything to get it! Starting January 27, if you’re part of the My Waitrose program, you can snag a free hot drink every day.
All you need to do is bring your own reusable cup. This scheme first started in 2013 but was put on hold during the pandemic. Now, Waitrose is making it easier for customers by allowing them to grab a coffee without having to make a purchase first, according to the BBC.
A Waitrose spokesperson mentioned that some members prefer to enjoy their free coffee while shopping, so they’re just responding to what customers want. Just a heads up, this offer is only available at standalone Waitrose and Little Waitrose stores, not at cafes or petrol stations.
You can choose from a regular Americano, cappuccino, latte, or tea. And if you like dairy alternatives, you’re in luck! Options like oat milk are included at no extra cost. Just scan your My Waitrose card at the self-serve coffee machines to get your drink.
If you’re not a member yet, you can join the loyalty program online for free and get a digital card right away. After three days, you can even request a physical card. This free coffee offer is part of Waitrose’s gradual return to pre-pandemic perks, making shopping a little sweeter.
