A vibrant mural honoring Leo Ross has appeared, spreading a vital message about knife crime in Birmingham
Birmingham: A beautiful mural has popped up to honor Leo Ross, the schoolboy who tragically lost his life. It appeared overnight on Ravenshill Road, not far from his school.
Leo was just 14 when he was fatally stabbed in Hall Green on January 21. He was taken to the hospital but sadly passed away later that evening.
Following this heartbreaking event, police arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of murder. They were questioning him as the investigation continued.
The mural features the words “rest in peace Leo” and carries a powerful message: “drop a knife, save a life.” Above Leo’s name, there’s a halo, adding a touching touch to the artwork.
Since the mural went up, people have been leaving tributes for Leo. Bouquets, a teddy bear, and candles have been placed at the site where he was killed.
One heartfelt poem left there reads: “Leo Leo up so high, shining bright in the sky.” Another message says: “Rest in peace you sweet soul you didn’t deserve this angel.”
