Birmingham: Professional dancer Amy Dowden opened up about her feelings as she welcomed 2024. She shared her thoughts on Instagram, reflecting on the past year.

Amy mentioned how tough New Year’s Eve can be. She recalled feeling like she was robbed of the year, especially when seeing everyone else’s happy memories. It was a time of uncertainty for her.

She encouraged her followers not to feel alone and to reach out for support. Amy promised to share helpline numbers in her next post. She reminded everyone that you never know what someone else is going through.

Amy sent her love to those who might be struggling as they head into 2025. She believes in the saying, “this too shall pass,” and urged people to focus on getting better instead of bitter.

She also shared resources for those in need. Amy is gearing up to return to the Strictly tour after having to step back from this year’s BBC contest due to an injury.

She had to leave the 2024 series after breaking a bone in her foot. Her partner, JB Gill, continued dancing and made it to the final with Lauren Oakley.

When asked how she was doing recently, Amy said she felt great. Dancing in the final was a wonderful experience for her, especially after everything she’s been through.

Before her exit from the show, she had a health scare that required an emergency call. She had just started to feel like herself again after a tough few years battling health issues, including a breast cancer diagnosis.

The upcoming Strictly tour in 2025 will feature the judges we all know and love, along with some of this year’s celebrities returning to the dance floor.
