A speeding driver was arrested after police found an axe in his vehicle during a routine stop in Gwynedd
Llanbedr: So, there was this driver who got pulled over for speeding, right? But it turns out, that wasn’t the only issue. The police found something pretty wild next to him in the car.
It all went down near Llanbedr in Gwynedd, just after Christmas. The cops noticed the guy speeding and decided to stop him. But when they chatted with him, they spotted an axe wedged between the door and his seat. Yikes!
Because of that, they arrested him for having an offensive weapon. He was taken to the Caernarfon police station and ended up getting a caution. Can you believe it?
North Wales Police are pretty serious about these things, saying they have a zero tolerance policy. But after they shared the news online, some folks were like, “A caution? Really?”
One person even commented, “Thanks for catching him, but a caution doesn’t really show zero tolerance.” Another chimed in, questioning how a caution fits into that approach.
It’s definitely a head-scratcher, but that’s the scoop from Gwynedd!
