Timsbury: St Mary’s CofE Primary School is celebrating a big win. It just got an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted in all categories. This is a huge change from its previous ‘Inadequate’ rating.

The school joined the MNSP trust in May 2020. Since then, it has made impressive improvements. In just one inspection cycle, it moved from the bottom to the top of the Ofsted ratings.

Many people helped with this success, including staff, students, and the community. The Ofsted report praised the school for its teaching, leadership, and support for students.

It noted that every adult at the school is dedicated to helping students succeed. The school also provides a very inclusive environment for all learners.

Students are happy to be there and behave well. They work hard and contribute to the school’s success. The school offers many extracurricular activities to help students explore their interests.

St Mary’s has a strong vision: “I can do all things.” It combines a caring atmosphere with great facilities and outdoor spaces. The school has plenty of land for learning and play.

Outdoor learning areas include play zones, woodlands, and classrooms. There’s even a ‘Book Burrow’ for reading. The school also has a large field and sports pavilion for physical activities.

School leaders Michelle Parsons and Jamie Thomson expressed pride in the achievement. They said the ‘Outstanding’ rating reflects the hard work of everyone involved.

They are excited to continue providing the best education and support for all students.
