A group will climb in the Brecon Beacons. They aim to collect £14,000 for Mind in Somerset. The team comes from south and west Somerset. They are climbing this summer to meet their goal.

Last year, they climbed the Three Peaks and finished in under 24 hours. They raised £36,000 then. Their total could reach £50,000 by July 12, the day they finish this climb.

They plan to hike for 12 hours. They will climb Pen y Fan, also called The Fan Dance route, used for military training.

The team will climb a loop trail. The total distance is almost 1,000 kilometers, and each person will trek nearly 30km. That equals five times the height of Everest.

Harvey Morris organizes the team; he works for Set Squared Recruitment. Adam Herron leads the group; he is from nGAGE Talent. They will start group training in March.

Harvey feels inspired by a friend who died five years ago. Suicide took Jack’s life. Mind in Somerset helped Harvey then. Their Suicide Support Bereavement Service made a difference.

Mind in Somerset is thankful. Vicky Poole manages their fundraising and says the climbers are fantastic. They call them the Mind in Somerset Warriors, and the money helps fund 57 services available across the county.
