Birmingham: It’s a sad day in the city. An elderly man, Allen Karam Chand, has passed away after a vicious beating at a bus stop. He was just waiting for the No.74 bus when the attack happened.

This incident took place on Soho Road in Handsworth. Allen was 82 years old and was rushed to the hospital after the attack on January 14. Sadly, he fought hard but lost his battle on January 19.

His family is getting support from the police during this tough time. A 43-year-old man had already been charged with wounding and was in court just before Allen’s death.

Now, the police are looking into the charges again, considering what happened to Allen. They’re also planning to do a post-mortem to find out exactly how he died.

Detective Inspector Joseph Davenport expressed his condolences to Allen’s family and emphasized the need for witnesses. He believes there are people in the community who might have seen something and encourages them to come forward.

If anyone has any information, especially video footage, the police want to hear from you. You can reach out through their contact numbers or even anonymously through Crimestoppers.
