A man in Pembrokeshire has been sentenced for stealing drinks and food from local shops
Pembroke: A guy named Ashley Mardon, 36, got himself into some trouble for stealing drinks and food from various shops in Pembrokeshire.
He showed up at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court facing five shoplifting charges. It turns out he lifted stuff worth around £39.75 from Iceland on September 24.
Then, on October 18, he took £17 worth of food and drinks from Londis in Pembroke. Not stopping there, he also snatched £7.78 worth of alcohol and soft drinks from Spar in Monkton on November 24.
But wait, there’s more! He hit up Home Bargains in Pembroke Dock twice, once on December 5 for £11 of groceries and again on December 12 for £12.49 of Carlsberg.
When he faced the court, he admitted to all the charges. The judge gave him a two-year community order, which means he’s got to do 200 hours of unpaid work.
On top of that, he has to complete a program called Building Better Relationships, attend 20 rehabilitation activity days, and stay sober for 90 days with monitoring.
He also has to cough up £85 to cover costs and compensation for the stuff he stole. Quite the mess, huh?
