Halewood: So, there was this pretty scary incident at a shop recently. A shop assistant got attacked by three guys wearing balaclavas. They came in and started stealing vapes and cash. It all went down around 9:15 PM at the Discount Booze Store on Wood Road.

One of the guys grabbed the assistant while the other two started punching and kicking him. They made off with money and some electric vapes before running towards Higher Road. Witnesses said one of them had a Liverpool accent, while the others sounded like they were from London or Essex.

The poor shop assistant ended up with some bruises and swelling but didn’t need any medical help. The police are on it, checking CCTV and asking for anyone who might have seen something to come forward. They’ve even released images of a guy they think could help with the investigation.

Detective Inspector Richie Shillito mentioned how distressing this was for the victim, who was left in shock. They’re really hoping someone might recognize the clothing the attackers were wearing. If you saw anything unusual around Higher Road or nearby streets, the police would love to hear from you.

If you have any info, you can reach out to Merseyside Police on Twitter or give them a call. It’s important to help out, especially when something like this happens in the community. Stay safe out there!
