Glasgow: The Shish Mahal restaurant is gearing up for a summer event that’s all about hot sauce. They’re inviting everyone to bring their own creations to the table.

This beloved west end spot is famous for its tikka masala and claims to have invented the original hot sauce. They’re planning to showcase some of the best sauce vendors from across the UK.

Called The Sauce Off, this festival will have a friendly competition where vendors can show off their sauces. Plus, there will be tasting sessions to enjoy.

But that’s not all! There will be workshops and a family-friendly atmosphere with food and music. Keep an eye out for more details on how to participate and grab tickets, which will be shared in the spring.

Kalsoom Akhtar, the COO and PR & Marketing Director of Shish Mahal, shared, “Hot sauce is more than just a condiment—it’s a story of passion and a love for spice.”

She added, “Since we invented it back in 1964, we’ve inspired many spice lovers, and this festival is our way of celebrating that community.”

Shish Mahal has a special place in the hearts of many in Glasgow. Some fans even got tattoos to mark its 60th anniversary last June. Plus, popular YouTuber Gary Eats has given it his thumbs up!

Don’t miss out on this spicy celebration!
