Adeel Khan, 30, faces charges for assisting Daniel Khalife’s escape from prison in September 2023
Waltham Forest: So, it turns out a second guy, Adeel Khan, has been charged for helping Daniel Khalife escape from prison. This all went down back in September when Khalife managed to sneak out by hiding under a food delivery truck.
Khan, who’s 30 and from east London, is also in trouble for having a phone while in prison. The police are serious about this, and he’s set to appear in court soon.
Just last week, another guy named Imran Chowdhury, 25, was charged too. He’s from Chingford and also allegedly helped Khalife escape. He showed up in court and denied the charges, but he’s got to go back to court in February.
As for Khalife, he was found guilty of spying for Iran last year. He had already admitted to escaping from Wandsworth Prison but got cleared of a bomb hoax charge related to his time in the Army.
